The instant messenger parental controls are designed to control how and when AOL Instant
Messenger (AIM), Windows Live Messenger (MSN), and Yahoo Instant Messenger are used

|
The first concern these controls address is who users can engage in conversations with
by giving the ability to control which contacts are permitted. Any attempt to start a
conversation with any other contact will fail. This is an excellent way of preventing Internet
predators from contacting your children through these messengers
|
|
|
|
|
|
To limit the time spent using instant messengers the scheduling options are used to permit
access only during specific periods or for a maximum duration per day. These schedule types
can also be combined. For example, a schedule can be created that permits access at any time
between 5:00pm and 10:00pm, but for a maximum of two hours
|
